| News > Case Study

Concept Construction have successfully completed the conversion of former warehouse house space in a former cotton mill, into a state of the art Test & Innovation Centre. The company secured the scheme following a successful competitive tender process and was directly appointed by Vita Cellular Foams.

The contract involved creating a space to enable Vita Cellular foams to test and showcase their industry leading foam products. Test rigs were installed with all data fed back into a media wall comprising nine, fifty five inch screens. A boardroom, circulation areas and a temperature regulated store room also formed part of the finished conversion.

Existing internal brick walls were grit blasted and the barrel vaulted ceiling left exposed in order to retain the original features from the former cotton mill. Glazed partitions, LED lighting, exposed M&E services and eye catching furniture gave the space a modern twist whilst paying homage to the buildings former use.

Whilst on site Concept Construction were also asked to undertake other schemes including the refurbishment of the on site laboratory, external & internal decoration schemes and a facelift of the existing IT offices.
